ACRL releases Scholarly Communication Toolkit

Let ACRL’s Scholarly Communication Toolkit help you prepare to lead events on your campus during Open Access Week, October 19-25, 2015.

The Toolkit provides context and background by summarizing key issues to offer quick, basic information on scholarly communication topics. It also links to examples of specific tools, including handouts, presentation templates and videos for librarians to adapt and use on their own campuses, and for library school students seeking to incorporate these issues into their course work. The toolkit, developed and maintained by the ACRL Research and Scholarly Environment Committee, serves as a valuable resource for scholarly communication discussions inside the library and for outreach programs to faculty and administrators.

The Toolkit includes sections for Authors Rights, Digital Humanities, Data Management and more.

Australian Government Open Data Toolkit

"The Australian Government Open Data Toolkit has used the US Project Open Data as a starting point and has been established initially in collaboration with the Department of Communications, Department of Finance and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner to help agencies make their published information available in an open data format that supports reuse by others. Unlinked sections are in progress and will be added as the content is finalised".

An initial draft of the Open Data Toolkit is available at https://toolkit.data.gov.au/
